When it all goes wrong.

Wife does some internet trawling and gets family a cheap holiday in Cornwall. Husband packs a small digital camera and drives south - in October. A lovely time is had by all, despite a bit of rain and husband, fool that he is, comes back with about 70 grey, dull, toneless snaps of fishing villages etc. The result is this horror which I'm glad to post as a kind of confession of my folly. I learned from it though, I suppose that's something!!

  1. Kevin, Thank you for coming over to visit my blog and leaving a comment. I enjoyed perusing your posts and seeing your work. I had to chuckle about painting on holiday and others traveling with you feeling excluded. My family has accepted that I always paint and sketch wherever we are. lol Nice work! I will try to drop by again and visit.

    1. Thank you for your comments Joan. This blogging thing is new to me and it's always a thrill to get some feedback. To be fair, my wife is very patient with me, allowing me to clutter up the house with my art stuff etc. As for holidays, I'm always torn between drawing, or scrambling over rocks with the kids etc. Maybe I'll grow up one day!!!!

  2. Nothing wrong with this at all Kev. You have great colour unity and that water and reflections is to die for. Good work.

    1. Thank you very much for the encouraging feedback John. As i've said elsewhere, I am my harshest critic. It appears I'm in the minority because all my family like this too. I suppose once a picture is finished, it's the veiwer's opinion that counts, not the artist's. Lesson learned!!!!!

    1. I suppose I wasn't happy with it because it didn't end up the way I wanted. It seems that's not a bad thing!! Thank you very much for your comments.
